May Mathis, 89, Paris, TN formerly of Dover, TN, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Paris Healthcare, Paris, TN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Ricky Parker and Joe Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, TN. Visitation will be on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 4-8:00 pm and on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 12:00 pm until the hour of service at Anglin Funeral Home. She was born June 20, 1923 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Lexie and Marie Wallace. Mrs. Mathis was a seamstress, homemaker and attended the First Church of God, Dover, TN and Westwood Pentecostal Church, Paris, TN . In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Mathis and brother, Howard Wallace. Survivors include her sons, Junior Mathis, Oro Valley, AZ and David Mathis, San Antonio, TX; brothers, Hershell Wallace, Phoenix, AZ, Hugh Wallace, Boise, ID; sisters, Hazel Mathis, Dyersburg, TN, Mary McKean, St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
