Maxine Cook

Maxine Cook, age 89, of Clarksville, TN and recently Marietta, GA passed away on January 18, 2024. Maxine was born on May 7, 1934 in Stewart County, TN to the late Mabel (Markin) and Albert Boyd. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Sammie Cook, and her siblings, Elmer Boyd, Bessie Head, Marie Cothron and Major Boyd.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Pamela Conley (Steven), her son, Barry Cook (Harrell), her sister, Lucille Coakley, her granddaughters, Rachel Colledge (Neal), Stephanie Dickson (Adam) and great grandchildren, Jessie & Sammy Dickson.

The family wishes to thank Judy Bush for her many years of friendship and support.

Maxine graduated from Stewart County High School in 1952 and later pursued her education at Nashville Business College.

Maxine was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover, TN. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Maxine's final resting place will be at Moore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity.
