Mary Tippit

Mary Ellen Tippit, age 82, of Indian Mound, passed away, Saturday October 27, 2012 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Dunaway to officiate, burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 12:00 until the time of service Tuesday. She was born April 14, 1930 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Clarence, Sr. and Irvin Ezell Cobb. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, James Cobb, Clarence Cobb, Jr., Elmer Cobb, two sisters, Thelma Cobb, and Olene Cobb. Survivors include her son Michael (Merlina) Tippit, daughters, Brenda (Stump) Spencer, Linda (Tom) Greenhill, Sheila (Howard) Congdon, eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one honorary grandchild, and one great-great grandchild.
