It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Evelyn Youngblood Hargis, 95, of Ocala, Florida, announces her passing on August 1, at Cate's Hospice House, Ocala. She was born April 12, 1930 in Waldo, Florida, daughter of the late Elijah and Alta Youngblood.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Delvin Hargis, and her husband of 41 years, Odell Hargis, whom she lived with on the Century Old Hargis Farm in Bumpus Mills, TN, until his death.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Melinda Hargis, Ocala, Florida, granddaughter, Jolyn Farber (Drew Smith), Weston, Connecticut, grandson, Justin Pope (Bri) Richmond, Texas, granddaughter, Megan Parks (Charles), Dover, Tennessee, and her great grandchildren, Mikayla, Hargis, Myles, Reagan, Oaklyn, and Malin.
