Mary Chester Butts

Mary Lee Chester Butts, age 96 of Clarksville, passed away May 24, 2014, at Walking Horse Meadows. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Josh McClurkan to officiate, burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service Saturday.
Aunt Mary Lee was born February 12, 1918 in Indian Mound, TN, daughter of the late Edwin T. and Flora Vaughan Perkins. She graduated from Big Rock High School and then went on to attend Austin Peay for one year of business courses. She worked at the Finance and Accounting Office at Ft. Campbell, KY, where she retired with 26 years of service. She was a member of the Indian Mound Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Iron Mountain.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Chester, second husband, Morris Butts, brother, Neal Perkins, sister-in-law, Millie Perkins, and a baby brother, Charlie Burton Perkins.
Survivors include her nephew, Mike Perkins (Amy) , great niece, Amanda Perkins, all of Pleasant View, TN, and many Vaughan and Perkins cousins.
