Marvin Durham

Marvin Austin Durham, age 85, of Indian Mound, passed away, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Tyson to officiate, burial will follow at Dunbar Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jerry Durham, Rick Turner, Mickey Turner, Jeff Turner, Harry Bromley and Danny Webb. Honorary pallbearers were Marty Turner, Gilbert Durham, Wendell Durham, Larry Turner and Harold Chester. He was born October 16, 1927, in Stewart County, TN son of the late Walter Daniel and Ida Louise McCord Durham. Mr. Durham was a supervisor at Acme Boot Co. and attended Dunbar Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth Turner Durham and sister, Susie Kirkland, Erin, TN. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Durham, Hooper Durham, Fred Durham, Martin Durham, Melvin Durham, W.T. Durham, sisters, Dixie Hall, Ollie Mae Halliday, and Elisa Allen Sheets.
