Marty Riggins

Mr. Marty Gene Riggins, age 66 of Dover, TN was called home to be with our Lord on May 19, 2024 with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Stewart County on August 10, 1957 the beloved son of the late Glenn and Edith Hilda Riggins. Marty worked 42 years with Barge Companies as an Engineer. After retirement, he enjoyed rebuilding old Ford Bronco’s with his buddies. He had a passionate love for raising horses. Marty and Marilyn spent many wonderful days at Wranglers Campground in LBL, camping out and riding their horses with family and friends. Marty was a family man who enjoyed spending time at home with his wife, children and especially his grandson. Marty was a friend to many and to know him was truly a pleasure. He will be truly missed by everyone.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his brothers, Sonny Riggins, Blane Riggins, Scotty Riggins and Tony Riggins.

He leaves behind the family that loved him dearly, his wife of 34 years, Marilyn Riggins; son, Daniel Earhart (Holly); daughter, Jennifer Campbell (Madison) both of Dover, TN; precious grandson, Levi Earhart; brother, David Riggins of Dover, TN; sisters, Joan Simpson of Dover, TN and Mable Barnhill of White House, TN.

A visitation with the family will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 beginning at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Masonic Service to be held at 6:30 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 12:00 pm and continue until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm with Bro. Terrance Cottle officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are David Nolen, Ronnie Wallace, Chase Link, Mike Futrell, Alan Ralls, Darrell Crain, Andy Kent and Wesley Kent.
