Marjorie Boren

Mrs. Marjorie Ann Boren, age 82, formerly of Dover, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Franklin, TN. She was born December 19, 1941 in Model, TN, to the late Dewey Fox and Mary Hughes Fox.

Marjorie loved flowers, listening to music, both playing and watching basketball. While she was able, she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Dover. She enjoyed car rides through Ft. Donelson National Park to watch the eagles and trips to Aurora, KY for a burger at Belew’s Dairy Bar. But her greatest and most treasured love was her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Boren; daughter, Teresa Boren; brothers, Roy Fox and William Fox; sisters, Zelma Ahart, Stella Farmer, Mavis May, Hilda Luffman, Linda Henderson, Norma Jean Fox, and Eva Fox.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Wayne Boren and Leigh-Ann Boren; granddaughters, Zoë Boren Skaggs (Chance) and Melea Boren; great grandsons, Greyson and Slayden Skaggs; and her sister, Bettie Joy Earon.

Visitation for Mrs. Boren will be from 11:00 – 12:00 on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Anglin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 12:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.

In memory of Ms. Marjorie, you may wear one of the following colors. Purple represents Dementia, teal blue represents Alzheimer’s and gray represents Parkinson’s.
