Mae Belle Hogan, age 92, of Dover, TN began eternal life with our Lord February 9, 2014 in Warner Robins, GA., where here she had resided with her son and his family for the past several years. The funeral service will be led by Pastor Paul Edwards at New Haven United Methodist Church, 107 Crain’s Landing Road, Friday, February 14th at 11:00am with burial next to her husband following in the Hall Cemetery near Indian Mound. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, February 13 at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover. Mae was born January 10, 1922 on Old Highway 79 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of William “Willie” and Ruth Wallace Williams. Walking several miles to school each day, she graduated from Dover High School, retired from F.W. Woolworth & Co. in Granite City, Illinois and returned with her husband to live in Dover in 1985. Mae’s humility, kindness, joyful heart, and uplifting spirit will forever be remembered by all who knew her. Her life will be celebrated for an unwavering love of God and deep devotion to family, friends, and books including daily readings from her Bible. A member of New Haven Methodist Church, she is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Elton Bracey Hogan, brothers Ray, George, Lewis, and Dalton Williams. Survivors include her children Marcia Ruth Bond, Alameda CA., Wm. Michael Hogan, Warner Robins, GA., brother Carl Williams, South Hadley Falls, MS, sister Mary Page, Nashville, TN, grandchildren Delinda Mae Bond Hansen and Kelly Lynn Bond, Alameda, CA., Angela Michelle Wright, Holly Springs, GA., Jared Michael Hogan, Canton, GA., and six great grandchildren.
