Mackayla Lea Smith

Mackayla Smith, age 28, of Erin, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 22, 1998, in Clarksville, TN, to Raymond "Lee" Smith and Shelia Walden Smith.

Mackayla was a loving and devoted mother whose greatest joy was spending time with her children. As an adult, she cherished being outdoors and taking in the sights and sounds of nature. Fishing was one of her favorite pastimes, and she especially enjoyed admiring the beauty of butterflies. She loved riding the country backroads, taking in the peaceful beauty of winding creeks and the wildlife along the way, all while listening to her favorite music.

Mackayla appreciated the simple pleasures of country living and treasured the time spent making memories with her children and the family she loved so dearly. Her favorite color was purple, a color she loved so much that it could be found throughout her wardrobe in many different shades and styles.

Above all, Mackayla's love for her children and family was at the heart of everything she did. The memories she created, the love she shared, and the joy she brought to those around her will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Mackayla is preceded in death by her father, Raymond 'Lee' Smith; grandparents, Frank and Elsie Abbott; James and Nancy Walden; Uncle James 'Kelly' Walden.

Mackayla leaves behind her precious children, Addilyn Strickland and Stoney Parrott; mother, Shelia Walden Smith (Terry Leece); her fiancée', Hunter Parrott; brother, Cameron Shannon; sisters, Heather Wolff (Phillip), Carleigh Smith and Jessica Cathey (Kasey); nieces, Layla Lynn-Marie, Kaisleigh Cathey, Daniel Wolff, Tucker Wolff and Olivia Wolff; bonus mothers, Jessica Shannon, Jennifer Abbott and Rhonda Hayes; bonus dad, Tim Leece 'Pops'; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 11:00 am, continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Bro. Tony Chester and Bro. William Gray. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Dover, TN. Serving as pallbearers are Kasey Cathey, Terry Leece, Hunter Parrott, James Strickland, Garrett Abbott and Phillip Wolff. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Leece, Geoff Abbott, Dalon Abbott, Tafton Abbott, Frank Abbott and Debbie Kent.
