Lynn Mercer, age 68 of Erin, TN passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 with loving family by his side. Born on June 3, 1956 in Granite City, IL the beloved son of the late Denver and Ida Zimmer Mercer.
Lynn had a deep passion for all kinds of sports, with a particular love for the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. Outside of sports, he enjoyed working on puzzles and coloring, finding joy in those quiet moments of focus. Birdwatching was another of his cherished hobbies, allowing him to connect with nature. Above all, Lynn had a special place in his heart for his home, lovingly referring to it as “his home on peaceful acres,” a sanctuary where he found comfort and peace.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Mercer; sister, Pam Mercer and brother-in-law, Harlon Luffman.
Lynn is survived by his loving family; brothers, Dennis Mercer (Debra) and his twin, Glynn Mercer; sisters, Helen Barnd (Alvin) and Margaret Luffman; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 beginning at 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes, he will be cremated.
