Loretta Odom

Loretta Joyce (Hicks) Odom, age 80 of Dover, Tn passed away October 29, 2021. She was born July 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Charlie and Lucy Hicks. She spent many years of her life working a factory job to help provide for her family, but her passion was cooking. She was well-known by many for some of her sweets treats and always had a knack for shopping and buying something special for those she loved. She is survived by her sister Barbara Bruton (Charles), sons; Larry Odom (Verna), Mark Odom (Michelle), daughters; Melinda Townsend (Dale), Teresa Odom (Randy), grandchildren; Jereme Odom, Jessica Robeson, Ashley Eaves, Cody Townsend, Jake Spiceland, Jada Spiceland, Ashleigh Groves, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 2021 at Anglin Funeral Home from 11:00am to the time of service. The funeral service will be at 2:00pm, officiated by Brother Paul Edwards. The burial service will follow immediately at Hildreth Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Billy Gray, George Gray, Fritz Gray, Craig Bagsby, Larry Hicks and Randy Wyatt with honorary pallbearers Frankie Gray and Andy Hicks.

The family has requested those attending the service to wear face mask and practice social distancing due to the remaining risk of Covid-19 and other sickness this time of year.
