Leamon Lyons

Mr. Leamon P. Lyons, age 77, of Dover, TN passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, December 6, 2024. Born in Fox Hollow of Land Between Lakes, on November 10, 1947, he was the beloved son of Leamon L. and Ilene Perry Lyons.

Leamon was deeply passionate about his work, taking great pride in his career at Land Between the Lakes with Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). He and his wife, Judy, co-owned Judy’s Gas Station, where they cherished the opportunity to connect with many dear friends who would stop by to share stories. Leamon attended Taylor Chapel Church of Christ.

Above all, he was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, and a cherished friend to many. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Leamon is preceded in death by his parents, Leamon L. and Ilene Lyons. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Melton Lyons, son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Jill Lyons, and his fur grandbaby, Tater Tot.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Sunday, December 8, 2024 beginning at 12:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm with Brian Grasty and James Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylors Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Cherry, David Norville, Thomas Grasty, McCall Gafford, John Gafford, Trent Cherry, Marty Nolin, and Danny Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane and Jill Lyons, Tony Melton, Dale Martin, Ashley Cherry, Margaret Gregg, Sarah Atkins, Anniston Gafford, Pilsbury Threatt, and Marcus Norville.
