Kenneth Mathis

Kenneth Hugh Mathis, 80, Dover, TN passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5-7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born December 12, 1932 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Douglas and Irene Davis Mathis. Mr. Mathis was a farmer, retired from TVA, member of the Long Creek Nazarene Church and was a U.S. Army Korea veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Griffin Mathis and brother, Russell Mathis. Survivors include his daughters and their husbands, Susan and Charles F. Hawkins, Dover, TN and Carol and Steve Joiner, Clarksville, TN; granddaughters, Laura Hawkins, Katie Joiner, Lily Joiner and Elizabeth Joiner; sisters, Frances Settle, Ruth Gray and Betty Taylor, all of Clarksville, TN. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Settle, Roy Settle, Neil Wright, Tommy Howell, Ricky Howell, Greg Spiceland, Tony Gray and Boyd Williams, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hamm, Jeff Hamm, Paul Hamm and Gary Hamm.
