Karol Cathey

Karol Jeanette Cathey, age 67, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at her home. A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service Friday. Burial was in the Moore Cemetery.
She was born February 14, 1948 in Arkansas, daughter of the Eldon Avants and Dorothy King Avants Barylske. Mrs. Cathey was a homemaker and a Missionary Baptist.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William Harvey Cathey, and sister, Nancy Hostmeyer. Survivors include her children, Scott Cathey, Granite City, IL, Patrick Cathey, Oswego, IL, Sheree Severine, O’Fallon, IL, brothers, Bruce Avants, IL, Lee Avants, Granite City, IL, Terry Avants, Granite City, IL, Ben Barylske, Jonseboro, AR,Tom Barylske, Benld, IL, sisters, Karla Terry, St. Louis, MO, Susan Williams, Jonesboro, AR, and Anna Barylske, Jonesboro, AR, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
