Mrs. Judy Stewart, age 76, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Judy was born on December 13, 1949, the daughter of the late Thomas and Edna Manners Howard.
Judy was a very talented woman who had a deep love for music. She once played music at Dollywood, a memory she cherished. She was also an avid outdoorswoman and proudly passed those passions down to the next generation. Judy had a great love for her family and her community. She especially loved having her family gathered in her home, enjoying her good, home-cooked meals. Judy lived by an open-door policy-everyone was welcome and always expected to sit down at her table for something to eat.
Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and throughout her community among all who knew her and loved her deeply. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nolen Stewart; sons, Bradley Miller and Jeremy Miller.
She leaves behind her cherished children: son, Hugh W. Miller (Cindy); daughter, Ti-Nea Humphrey; and Penny Watson, who was like an adopted daughter. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Howard, Benjamin Howard, and Charles Howard; her sister, Lisa Howard; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Hildreth Cemetery, with Bro. Joel Nulty officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Nolen Miller, Ashley Brooke Milliken, Kyle Byrd, Tori Wallace, John Milliken and Danny Hinderliter.
