Joyce Cantrell

Mrs. Joyce L. Cantrell, age 83, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 12, 2024. She was born in Nashville, TN, the beloved daughter of James and Helen Henderson Owens.

Joyce had a caring and loving heart, sharing her love with children as a dedicated daycare teacher. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Joyce was also a loyal, faithful member of Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Jerry W. Cantrell, Jr. and sister, Lora Inez Blackstock.

She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Jerry Wayne Cantrell, Sr.; daughters, Nancy J. Travis (Frank) and Lori J. Cantrell; sisters, Martha A. Bradford, Wanda Harper, and Debbie Harvill; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Bro. Steve Phillips and Bro. Brice Darnell will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, church members and friends serving as pallbearers.
