Jon Phillips

Jon Gaylon Phillips, age 32, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 14, at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Harrison to officiate, burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday and from 1:00 pm until the time of service Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home.
He was born March 2, 1983 in Bryan, TX, son of Steve and Vicky Patterson Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a graduate of Hume Fogg High School, Nashville, TN. After graduation he attended Austin Peay State University, where he received a Bachelor Degree with a Major in English and a Minor in Education. He worked for Piggly Wiggly, Dover, TN, and was a member of the Cross Timbers Freewill Baptist Church, Nashville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elmer Phillips, maternal grandmother, Winona Myers and maternal step grandfather, Gerald Myers. Survivors include his parents, Steve and Vicky Phillips, Dover, TN, paternal grandmother, Opal Phillips, Lavania, TN, maternal grandfather, Chet Patterson, Florida and several aunts and uncles. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
