Joe Darell Elkins, 62, Dover, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Johnny Polk officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 5-8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born September 7, 1950 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Tom and Elizabeth Knott Elkins. Mr. Elkins was a retired truck driver for the Stewart County Highway Dept. Survivors include his wife, Donna Boyd Elkins, Dover; son, Corey Elkins, Dover; daughter, Leslie Bickford, Dover; brothers, Jimmy Elkins, Puryear, TN, and Proctor Elkins, Puryear, TN; sisters, Faye Ward, Clarksville, TN, Carolyn Wallace, Dover and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Donnie Wilson, Jimmy Wallace, Mark Porter, Jeff Lancaster, Carlton Clark and Bobby Mathis. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Buchanan and Greg Greenhill.
