J. Garrett Russell

J. Garrett Russell, age 90, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away on December 6, 2025, at Dover Care Center with his loving daughter by his side. He was born on November 10, 1935, in Mobley, TN, the son of William Henry and Maggie Evelyn Wofford Russell.

Garrett was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in his career at Tecumseh Products in Paris, TN, where he worked until his retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and loyal friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia L. Russell, and his sons, Davin Lynn Russell and Mike Willis Russell.

He is survived by his cherished daughter and son-in-law, Callie and Kevin Campbell; his brother, Harley Russell of Cuba, MI; grandchildren, Mika Lane (Justin), Monica Newman (Jimmy), and Matthew Campbell (Makaylee); great-grandchildren, Alexia Lane, Michael Lane, William Newman, Scarlett Newman, and Collins Campbell; nephews, Steven Russell and Chuck Russell; and niece, Inga Pewitt.

A graveside service will be held at Wofford Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with Bro. David Whitehead officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.
