Jesse Lewis

Mr. Jesse Morris Lewis, age 83, of Murray, KY, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at his home. He was born, April 5, 1935 in Indian Mound, TN, son of the late Thomas Hooks and Ruth Free Lewis. Mr. Lewis served his country in the United States Army. From 1980- 1998 he was an insurance agent at Stewart County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church, Murray, KY and a member of The Gideons International.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Poole Lewis, brothers, Bob Lewis, Joe Lewis, John Daniel Lewis, Thomas Lewis, and Rufus Lewis, his sisters, Rose Roe, Cecille Powers, Nell Wallace, and Lorena Bagwell.
He is survived by his son, Mark Lewis (Sherry), grandsons, Samuel Lewis and Daniel Lewis, all of Murray, KY, and his companion, Ann McDonald.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN, with Rev. Don Bailey officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service Sunday. A private graveside service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to The Gideons International at www.gideons.org/donate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
