Jerry Hand

Mr. Howard J. Hand, Jr., fondly known as Jerry, age 95, of Bumpus Mills, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on April 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 16, 1930, the beloved son of the late Howard Jerome Hand, Sr. and Ruth May Beaver Hand.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to many. He found great joy in bringing his family together and creating lasting memories at home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Howard Jerome Hand, Sr. and Ruth May Beaver Hand; brother, Kenneth E. Hand and sister, Jeanette Taft.

Jerry leaves behind the family he cherished: his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Gloria J. Hand; his daughter, Gerrie Dawn West; his sons, Bobby Hand (Mary Beth) and Rome Hand; along with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Hand Cemetery, with Bro. David Whitehead officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
