Jerry Crockarell

Jerry Wayne `Waynie` Crockarell, 58, Big Rock, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital, Murray, KY. The funeral will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Mathes, Bro. Johnny Harris and Bro. Roger Milton officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Saturday and from 1-2:30 pm Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 30, 1952 son of Barney Crockarell and Jean Shaw Crockarell Clairday. Mr. Crockarell was a retired towboat captain and pilot and a survivor of Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005, 1970 graduate of Stewart Co. High School and a member of the Church of Christ and attended Bumpus Mills Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Nelda Lyon Crockarell; son, Greg, daughter in law, Stacey and grandson, Bo; daughter, Tisha Crockarell and granddaughter, Ally Jo Shemwell; brothers, Barney Crockarell, Jr, David Crockarell, and Larry Crockarell and sister, Judy Stockdale. Also, he was the proud uncle of two special nephews, Joel and Samuel Polarek and niece, Devan Lyon. Pallbearers will be James Gaboriault, Albert Gaboriault, James Fisher, Justin Morgan, Justin Malray, Jeff Malray, Greg Crockarell and Tyler Wyatt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stewart Co. Humane Society, 3511 Hwy 46, Indian Mound, TN 37079.
