Jerry Austin

Mr. Jerry David Austin, age 71, Indian Mound, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at his home. He was born November 12, 1946 in Stewart County, TN son of the late Leonard “Pete” Austin and Lucy Luffman Austin. Mr. Austin was an executive at Dan Post Boots and McRae Industries. He served in the US Marine Corp and was a Vietnam Veteran.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Austin, brothers, Leonard Austin and Danny “Cotton” Austin, and his sisters, Alberta Shaw and Janie DeVito.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Dale Austin, Murfreesboro, TN, daughter, Terri Leean Oliver, Indian Mound, TN, brothers, Carl Austin, Tennessee Ridge, Malcolm Austin, Indian Mound, Brad Austin, Indian Mound, sisters, Alice Sanders, Paducah, KY, Melinda Cockrum Chicago Heights, IL, Brenda Jenkins, Clarksville, grandchildren, Taylor Gribbons and Tori Wolfe.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Willis Castile officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service on Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
