Mrs. Jeanette Barnes, age 62, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was born on November 27, 1962, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Barry and Glenda Howell.
A woman of deep warmth, Jeanette found joy in every aspect of life. She was a graduate of Ezell’s Beauty School in Murray, Kentucky, and for many years, she poured her heart into her craft as the owner of A Cut Above Salon. It was there, working alongside her daughter, that Jeanette created lasting bonds with her clients. Many of whom she continued to keep in touch with even after her retirement.
Jeanette was a member of the Dover Church of Christ, where her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. An avid genealogist, she found great joy in tracing the roots of her family and cherishing the memories that bound them together. Above all, Jeanette’s love for her family was unparalleled. She held a special place in her heart for her husband, children, and grandchildren, whom she treasured with deep affection.
Jeanette is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, David Barnes; her beloved daughters, Rachel Murdock (Tyler) of Linden, Tennessee, and Rebecca Wadham (Richard) of Dover, Tennessee; and five grandchildren: Owen Milton, Blaine Murdock, Nate Murdock, Elizabeth Boone, and Ruby Jean Wadham. She is also survived by her parents, Barry and Glenda Howell of Dover, Tennessee; her brother, Craig Howell (Carol) of Clarksville, Tennessee; and her sister, Denise Scott of Murray, Kentucky.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Anglin Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Lane Cemetery, where Bro. Phil Dunn will officiate. Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
