Jean Mathis

Wilma Jean Mathis, age 72, of Dover passed away, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Taylor officiating, burial will follow in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 12:00 until the time of service Monday. Family will serve as pallbearers.
She was born August 26, 1941, in Stewart County, daughter of the late Bill and Nellie Lee Outlaw. Mrs. Mathis was owner and operator of Mathis Brothers Saw Mill.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Frank Mathis, Sr. Survivors include her son, James Mathis (Lisa), grandchildren, Clint Mathis (Paula), Kala Mathis, Step Grandchildren, Amanda Cook (Ben), Ashley Gibbs (Rick), brothers, Dale Outlaw (Linda) Danny Outlaw (Louise), sisters, Virginia Crain (Wayne), Henrietta Wofford (Ray), Betty Crosby (Tim), great grandchildren, Jacy Mathis, Gavin Mathis, and step great grandchildren, Neely Cook, Nolen Cook, and Parker Gibbs.
