Jay Fenton Myers, age 92, of Dover, passed away, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Thursday at the Dyers Creek Church of God with his son-in-law, Rev. Jeff Wallace to officiate, burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm Wednesday at the Dyers Creek Church of God and from 11 am until the time of service Thursday. Pallbearers will be John Wallace, Jr. Wallace, Tony Wallace, Bill Breault, Terry Milliken, and Nate Wallace. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born October 17, 1920, in Norfolk, VA, son of the late Franklin LaFayette and Susie May Barrett Myers. Mr. Myers served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was a WWII Veteran, and Purple Heart Recipient. He was an investigator for the IRS and the Department of Defense. After retirement he owned and operated several antique shops. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jacqueline Joy Windemiller Myers, Dover, daughters, Janice K. Myers, Indianapolis, IN, Jill Wallace (Jeff), Dover, brother, John N. Myers, Norfolk, VA, sister, Katherine Epperly, Virginia Beach, VA, grandchildren, Nathaniel Jay Wallace, Nashville, and Gracie Joy Wallace, Dover.
