Janice Travis

Mrs. Janice Lehman Travis, age 76 of Indian Mound, TN passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Indian Mound, TN on Saturday, April 12, 1947 the beloved daughter of the late Earl and Emma Jones Lehman.

Janice worked for the U.S. Postal service where she retired after 30 years of service as a mail carrier. She loved the Lord and was a faithful servant, a lifelong member of The Tabernacle/Mosaic Church. Janice enjoyed antiquing with family and friends. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having them home to spend time together and make precious memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years being married, Berle Dean Travis, Sr., son, Mark Travis; brother, Jim Lehman and granddaughter, Ashlee Travis.

She is survived by her precious children, Berle Dean Travis, Jr. (Sheryl) of Woodlawn, TN, Doris Lee Travis (Jennifer) of Indian Mound, TN, Sherry Watson (Jeff) of Dover, TN and Ricky Keel of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Adam Travis, Emily Pulley, Cari Travis, Karlee Vicars, Luke Wallace, Madisyn Wallace, Landon Wallace, Landon Watson, Peyton Watson, Maycee Cherry, Jesse Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ted Lehman (Penny); sister, Sue Summers and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 beginning at 4:00pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 12:00 pm and continue until the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Bro. Justin Daley, Bro. Danny Austin and Bro. Anthony Daley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Those serving as pallbearers are Ricky Keel, Randy Wallace, Berle Travis, Jr., Doris Travis, Levi Stuard, Mike Vicars, Trent Chery, Jesse Smith, Mark Wayne Travis, Heath Lehman Sherry Watson and Karlee Vicars.
