Jamie Lyle Bogard, age 48 of Dover, TN went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2021. He was born March 26, 1973, the son of Robert Lyle and Marie Bogard of Big Rock, TN. Jamie was a loving, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to everyone. He was a faithful Christian servant and a member of Dyers Creek Church of God where he was a Children Church Teacher. Jamie loved children of all ages and enjoyed his years as coach with the Stewart County Little League baseball and basketball. He later became the Stewart County Middle and High School baseball coach where he loved coaching his son Eli’s teammates. As a proud daddy, he would look toward the sideline to see his beautiful daughter, Emmy in her cheerleading uniform cheering on the Rebel team. His degree was in Business Administration and Finance. This allowed him to enjoy his job and to serve 24 years at the Stewart County Board of Education as the Finance Director and Payroll Clerk.
He is preceded in death by his infant son; Emerson Drake Bogard, grandparents; James and Alene Bogard, and grandmother; Manie Balthrop, grandparents-in-law; Bobbie and Doris Spiceland, Morris and Mae Wallace.
In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by his high school sweetheart, best friend, loving and devoted wife, Jennifer Spiceland Bogard he married on July 25, 1998, his precious children, son; Eli Taylor Watson Bogard, daughter; Emma-Lynn Grace Bogard, sister; Kimberly Dowdy (McNeece), niece; Jenny Dowdy, mother-in-law Jan Lehman (Kerry) and father-in-law; Greg Spiceland, sister-in-law; Heather Stevens (Heath), nieces; Haylea and Hanna Stevens..
Visitation will be Friday, July 9 2021 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dyers Creek Church of God. Visitation will resume Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 am until the hour of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Dyers Creek Church of God with Bro. Jeff Wallace officiating and Mikey Wallace closing in prayer. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers are Mikey Wallace, Andy Smith, Bryan Milton, Jason Page, Blake Byrd, Austin Byrd, McNeece Dowdy, and Heath Stevens. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Miller, Weston Wallace, Will Page, Nick Wallace, David Welker, Robyn Crain, Stacey Crockarell, and Amy Russell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the Jamie Bogard Scholarship Fund c/o Regions Bank, Dover, TN.
