James Everett Watson, age 85, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Dunaway to officiate, entombment will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 11:00 am until the time of service Saturday. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday.
He was born July 4, 1929, in Model, TN, son of Grady Charles and Nancy Omega Sills Watson. Mr. Watson was a Baptist, a member of Iron Mountain Masonic Lodge 544 for 60 years, member of the Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. He owned and operated Western Auto and Watson's Home and Auto in Dover for 49 years. Life was good.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Louise Allen Watson, Dover, sons, Darrell Everett Watson, (Debbie Bloom), James Bryan Watson (Tracy), sisters, Doris Spiceland, Joyce McGuffin, all of Dover, six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Grady Sills Watson and Henry Lewis Watson.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Watson, Jr., Chris Watson, Jake Watson, Thor Melson, Kris Powell, and Darren Crutcher.
The family requests in lieu of other memorials donations be made to the Iron Mountain Lodge 544 Building Fund, PO Box 298 Dover, TN 37058.
