James Tyson

James Tyson, age 89 of Dover, TN went to be with the Lord June 27, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1932 the son of the late Governor Noel and Mary Bessie Tyson. James proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a carpenter and farmer. He was a faithful servant and was a member of Dunbar Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Indian Mound, TN.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his devoted wife; Ocie Milliken Tyson; beloved son; Greg Tyson, brothers, Frank, Kenny and Earl Tyson, sisters; Betty Keel and Mary Jane Schmitt.

He is survived by his loving children; Kim Crutcher (Joey), Richard Tyson (Lezlie); daughter-in-law; Donna Tyson, brother; Billy Tyson, sister; Earline Atkins, Barbara Ann Tyson both of St. Louis MO, grandchildren; Charity Harville, Blake Tyson, Megan Crutcher, Joshua Crutcher, Abigail Elmore, Los Angles, CA, Joanna Elmore, Missoula, MT, great grandchildren; Evan Harville, Mason Harville, and Cayden Harville.

Visitation will be Friday, July 2, 2021, 10:30 am until 12:30 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN with Richard Tyson and Blake Tyson officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
