James 'Jim' Thompson

James (Jim) F. Thompson, age 86, of Clarksville went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2026.

He was born on January 21, 1940 in Jackson, MS, to the late Frank and Cleo Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 11:00 am with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am prior to service. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Page Cemetery.

Jim was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. He was a proud Marine and after his retirement from Tennessee Valley Authority, he became a Marine Corps League Chaplain in Clarksville.

In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Annie L. Thompson.

He is survived by his sons, Mark (Karen) Thompson and Phillip (Missy) Thompson, both of Clarksville; grandchildren, Martha Page Thompson Welch (Andy) and Caleb James Thompson (Kaycie), great grandson, Lucas James Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
