James Rorie

August 8, 1940 — September 25, 2016

Mr. James Edward Rorie, age 76, of Indian Mound, TN passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home. He was born August 8, 1940 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late McKinley and Addie Mae Castile Rorie. Mr. Rorie was a member of the Sycamore Flat Church of Christ and was a retired construction foreman for Averitt Lumber Co.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Rorie. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Dorothy Hayes Rorie, daughters, Rita Peters (Steven), Indian Mound, Tammy Wallace (Timmy), Indian Mound, grandchildren, Michael Peters, McKenzie Wallace, Abbigail Peters, McKaylie Wallace, Damien Wallace, Gage Welker, Braxton Welker, Jade Welker, brothers, Gene Rorie, Marshall Rorie, Ted Rorie, Bill Rorie, sisters, Peggy Ann Rorie, Patricia Boone, and Betty Hutchison, all of Indian Mound, TN.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Sycamore Flat Church of Christ with Bro. John Maltais officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of service Saturday at the Sycamore Flat Church of Christ. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
