James Armstrong

James "Gordon" Armstrong, 88, Dover, TN passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Wyatt's Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Heflin Cemetery. Visitation will Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Anglin Funeral Home and Monday, March 21, 2011 from 12-2 pm at Wyatt's Chapel Methodist Church. He was born March 18, 1923 in Dover, TN son of the late Jim and Emma Hicks Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong was a US Army World War II veteran, retired Ft. Campbell Civil Service, member of Wyatt's Chapel Methodist Church and the Indian Mound Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Betty Austin Armstrong, Dover; sons, Mike (Debbie) Armstrong, Dover, Bobby Lyne (Deana) Armstrong, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Debbie (Tony) Albright, Clarksville; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will Tony Albright, Denny Armstrong, Greg Bagwell, Deryk Wyatt, Jesse Lewis and Ricky Keatts.
