Mr. Jack Harold Lovins, 81, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Born on December 4, 1943, in Model, Tennessee, Land Between the Lakes. He was the son of the late Richard and Bertha Lovins. Jack was a lifelong truck driver, a career that was not only his livelihood but his true passion. His love for the open road and the work he did was matched only by the devotion he had for his family, who were his greatest joy.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Aaron John "A.J." Lovins; his brother, Charles Lovins; his twin brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Lovins; and two infant brothers, Dennis Ray Lovins and Baby Boy Lovins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sylva Nell Elkins Lovins; their four sons, Billy Joe Lovins (Carolyn Burgess), Rickey Joe Lovins (Gail), Jackie Darrall Lovins (Penny), and Tommy Ray Lovins (Brooke); his cherished grandchildren, Tierney Lovins, Camo Ray Lovins, and Kinsley Lovins; his adored great-grandchildren, Ethan Wayne Harold, Cole Austin Harold, Addie May Harold, and Buea Daniel Harold; and his sister, Faye Robinson.
A visitation to honor Jack’s memory will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Hicks Cemetery in the Land Between the Lakes. Pallbearers will include Billy Lovins, Rickey Lovins, Jackie Lovins, Tommy Lovins, Johnny Edwards, and Doug Petsch.
