Irene Taylor

Ms. Irene Rose Taylor, age 97 of Dover, TN passed away peacefully at Houston County Community Hospital on February 26, 2024. She was born on May 1, 1926 the beloved daughter of the late James and Sybil May Allee Wright. Irene loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. She was a member of LBL Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and canning the vegetables and fruits of her labor. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jess Williard Taylor and daughters, Carol Taylor Balcomb, Ilene Rose Perry and Barbara Taylor; brothers; Joe Wright and Jimmy Wright; sisters, Lyla Robinette, Corine Gilliam, Imogene Davis, Florene Hall and Patsy Moore.

She is survived by her precious children, son, Jess David Taylor (Michelle) and George Taylor; daughter, Rebecca Sue Anderson (Scott); grandchildren, Madison Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Josiah Nixon, Steven Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Noah Anderson, Jerry Perry, Pam Hixenbaugh, Chris Perry, Amber Wallace, Georgia Wilson, Jennifer Chittick, Mark Burr, Irene Burr, Brent Burr, Sarah Perigo, Christina Balcomb, Joseph Balcom and 44 great and great great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Wright and Jesse Wright; sisters, Lillian Hess, Pansy Miller, Twyla Reaves and Darlene Tuttle.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Anglin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm With Bro. Phil Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
