Ms. Hessie Marie Dennis, age 92, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare Clarksville. She was born July 22, 1930 in Bumpus Mills, TN, daughter of the late Elijah Page, Sr. and Sennie Elizabeth Jenkins Page.
Ms. Dennis was a member of the Park Lane Church of the Nazarene in Clarksville, TN. She loved cooking, quilting, and talking with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Edward W. Dennis, two brothers, and five sisters.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (Janet) Dennis, Clarksville, Peggy (Paul) Howard, Clarksville, Mary (Kenneth) Clark, Mulvane, KS, Virginia (Jim) Holly, Manitowoc, WI, Patty (Wendell) Hemmingsen, Woodlawn, and Kenneth (Lisa) Dennis, Big Rock, 13 grandchildren, 16, great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and sisters, Ruth Jackson, Dover, TN, and Pearl Hicks, Clarksville, TN.
The funeral service for Ms. Dennis will be at 12:30 pm Friday, September 23, 2022 at Park Lane Church of the Nazarene, 225 Cunningham Lane, Clarksville, TN with Lee Trythall officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time-of-service Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Page Cemetery. Her grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Park Lane Church of the Nazarene Music Department, 225 Cunningham Lane, Clarksville, TN 37042.
