Henry Mikkelsen

Henry David Mikkelsen, Sr., 83, Dover, TN, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at Murray Calloway County Hospital. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Anglin Funeral Home with Dr. Jason Royle officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 3, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Nikkoloi and Anna Sorensen Mikkelsen. Mr. Mikkelsen was an U.S. Army Veteran, Lifetime member of the D.A.V., American Institue of Architects Emeritus, Cheif Engineer for V.A. Hospitals, Department of Defense Hospital Inspector, and a member of the First Christian Church of Dover. Survivors include his wife, Ella Heinzelman Mikkelsen, children, Henry "David" (Jeanna) Mikkelsen, Jr., Union, KY, Beverly (James) Henley, Pleasant View, TN; sister, Sherley (Ron) Whitman, Lake Alfred, FL, grandchildren, Henry David Mikkelsen, III, Anna Henley, Joshua Mikkelsen, Kathryn Mikkelsen, and Bert Lee. In Leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church building fund.
