Harvel Martin

Harvel Ray Martin, age 91, of Dover, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Diversicare of Dover. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Newberry officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until the time of service on Monday.
He was born February 7, 1924 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Jink Ryan and Ruth Bryan Harris Martin. Mr. Martin was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and attended the Corinth Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer as well as a retired business owner. He owned and operated a grocery store and sawmill.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Sally Mae Mathis Martin. He is survived by his sons, Dale Martin, Dover, Danny Martin, Dover, daughter, Gail Wilson, Dover, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Brown, Erik Ramsey, Clint Marshall, Blake Byrd, Michael Bagwell, and Jamie Gafford. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
