Harry Barber

Harry Lee Barber, age 76 of Dover, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Henry County Medical Center. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, June 13, at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Claud and Bro. Royce Stewart to officiate, burial will follow at 1:00 pm at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, June 12, at Anglin Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until the time of service Friday.

He was born October 28, 1937 in Jonesboro, AR, son of the late James and Jean Schoffer Barber. Mr. Barber served 20 years in the United States Army where he completed three tours in Vietnam as a Cobra Helicopter Pilot. He was owner and operator of US Bass, Dover, TN.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Don Barber. Survivors include his wife, Virgie Joiner Barber, Dover, TN, children, Ricky Barber, Rockford, IL, Terry Barber, Orlando, FL, Jim Dotson (Sherry), Rogers, AR, Jane Dorsey, Chatham, IL, brothers, Ray Barber (Ruthie), Memphis, TN, Joe Barber (Debbie), Jonesboro, AR, J.T. Barber (Stacie), Jonesboro, AR, sisters, Connie Hembree (Randy), Horn Lake, MS, Sharon Murray, Jonesboro, AR, Susie Carter (Gary), Jonesboro, AR, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of LBL Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Roger Gillespie, Charlie McConnell, Frankie Perkins, Brien Dill, Wayne Jackson, and Doug Futrell.
