Gilbert Wallace

Gilbert Leo Wallace, age 76, of Dover, passed away, Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, at Anglin Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Saturday and from 1:00 until the time of service Sunday. He was born January 6, 1937, in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Clarence F. and Elmous Porter Wallace. Mr. Wallace was retired U.S. Army 1st Sergeant and worked in management at Albertsons Super Market, El Paso, TX. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Wallace, and brother, Wayne Wallace. Survivors include his companion, Gerda Layfield, Dover, brothers, Herman Wallace, Franklin, TN, Richard Wallace, Dover, TN, Mark Wallace, Clarksville, TN, sisters, Barbara Earhart, Dover, TN, Peggy Maynard, Charleston, SC, Linda Myers, Ashland City, TN, Sharon Smith, Dover, TN, and Cathy Royals, Dover, TN.
