George Porter

George Porter, 90, Lineville, AL, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Lineville Health & Rebabilitation Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with Earl Claud officiating. Burial will be in Boyd Cemetery, Dover, TN. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday at Anglin Funeral Home. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 19, 1920 in Stewart Co., TN to the late Waverly and Daisy Gilbert Porter. Mr. Porter worked in timber, a farmer and a member of LBL Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Sanford Porter. Survivors include his brother, James Porter, Lineville, AL; two nieces and three nephews. Pallbearers will be family.
