Gary Dacus

Mr. Gary Dacus, Jr., age 64 of Big Rock, TN was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1959 the beloved son of Gary Dacus, Sr. and Rhoda Buckingham Rippy. Gary loved the Lord and was a member of Wyatts Chapel Church. He worked at Daymar College in Clarksville, Tn for several years. He was also a car salesman for many years. Gary was an avid sports fan following his favorite teams, St. Louis Cardinals and Austin Peay Governors. Gary had a special love for children’s sports and worked with the Junior Pro Teams.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Dacus, Sr. and step-father, James Rippy.

Gary leaves behind the family that he loved dearly, his loving and devoted wife he married on March 1, 1983, Sherry Dacus; mother, Rhoda Buckingham Rippy; sons, Jacob Dacus, Granite City, IL, Craig Floyd, Gary Dacus, III, Justin Dacus, and Tyler Dacus all of Dover, TN; daughter, Amanda Dacus, FL; brothers, Alan Dacus, Dover, TN, Jimmy Rippy of Clarksville, TN, Drue Shepherd of Indian Mound, TN; sister, Melinda Rozet of Dover, TN and 17 precious grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Wyatt Chapel Church. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 pm with Bro William Gray and Bro. Gary Dacus officiating.
