Bruce Rye

Bruce Rye, age 70, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at Signature HealthCare in Erin, TN, with his brother by his side.

Born on September 12, 1954, Bruce was the beloved son of Floyd Robert Rye and Virgie Ray Hester Rye. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee of The Trane Company until his retirement. Bruce was deeply involved in his community, especially through his support of local football teams and his many years coaching little league. A true fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, he rarely missed a game and wore his orange with pride.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Robert Rye and Virgie Ray Hester Rye; brother, Bobby Dwayne Rye and sister, Wanda Sue Rye.

He is survived by his loving brothers, Ronnie Dale Rye (Patricia), Michael Todd Rye and sister-in-law, Janet Rye.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Bro. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Glasgow Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Bruce will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, and passion for life, football, and family.
