David Riggins

David Riggins, age 83, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at Dover Care Center. He was born on October 27, 1942, in Stewart County, TN, the beloved son of Glenn and Edith Young Riggins.

David had a lifelong passion for collecting baseball cards and loved spending his time visiting yard sales in search of rare finds. His hobby brought him great joy and connected him with many friends, both near and far, who shared his enthusiasm.

He was a loving and cherished brother from a large and close-knit family. David especially treasured time spent with his family, sharing stories, laughter, and home-cooked meals that created lasting memories for all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers Sonny, Blane, Scotty, Tony, and Marty Riggins; his brother-in-law, John Barnhill and sister-in-law, Janet Riggins.

He is survived by his devoted sisters, Mable Barnhill and Joan Simpson; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Riggins, Janey Riggins, Linda Riggins and Marilyn Riggins as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Trinity Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Burgess officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
