Floyd Phillips

Robert “Floyd” Phillips, age 84 of Dover TN was called home to be with the Lord Monday, August 23, 2021 at Diversicare of Dover with his loving family by his side. He was born September 15, 1936 to the late William and Ruby Phillips. Floyd was a devoted loving husband, father, father-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Together as a family they made many precious memories on their family trips to the Smoky Mountains. Floyd enjoyed woodworking in his shop. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his nephews. He was a hard worker and provider for his family, retiring as a machine operator from Trane Company. He was a faithful servant, a member of Dyers Creek First Church of God.

Floyd married the love of his life, Myrna Vick Phillips on October 26, 1963. Together they have one daughter, Sherry Garner and son-in-law Quinn of Dover, TN.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm at Dyers Creek First Church of God. Visitation will resume on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 9:00am until the hour of the service at 10:00am at Dyers Creek First Church of God with Bro. Jeff Wallace and Verlon “Bubba” Pritchett officiating the service. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
