Macon Outlaw

Mr. Ernest Macon Outlaw, age 80, of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Carlisle, he was the beloved son of Charles Ernest Outlaw and Mary Chadwick Outlaw.

Macon was well known throughout the community as the owner and mechanic of Outlaw's Garage. Opening the business in 1973, he built a career that stood the test of time. His dedication to his customers, honesty, and exceptional work ethic made him the mechanic everyone trusted. He was deeply loved by his customers, and in return, they showed their appreciation through years of unwavering loyalty.

Above all else, Macon was a devoted family man. He cherished his family and was dedicated to creating lasting memories with them, always encouraging family gatherings and welcoming everyone home. Some of his favorite moments were spent sitting on the front porch, taking in the beauty of the land and watching the wildlife around him. He also enjoyed leisurely fishing trips and spending time gambling with good friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Nancy Ann Outlaw, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years together; his sisters, June Lafferty and Patsy Scarborough.

He leaves behind his precious family, son, Charles M. Outlaw (Lee Ann); daughters, Melissa Outlaw and Mylinda Sheffield; grandchildren, Brianna Combs (Ryan), Kristen Outlaw (Holden), Connor Outlaw, Jackie Bales (Skyler), Joshua Sheffield and Charles Sheffield; great grandchildren, Addison Combs, Olivia Hinderliter, Calvin Bales, Joshua and Ryan Sheffield. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Hotdog.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Bro. Glenn Hargrove. Burial to follow at Hildreth Cemetery, Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
