Elton Austin

Elton R. Austin, 77, of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Austin Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5-8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born December 25, 1935 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Ray and Lenora Parker Austin. Mr. Austin was a farmer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie L. Austin, brothers, Winford O'Neal Austin and Harold Dean Austin and sisters, Orbie Cobb, Cordie Atkins, Melissa Turner and Margie Page. Survivors include his wife, Beulah Steiner Austin, Indian Mound, TN; sons, Eddie Austin, Fayetteville, TN, Dwight Austin, Indian Mound, TN and Mike Austin, McKenzie, TN; daughter, Kathy Austin, Indian Mound, TN; sister, Dorothy Cottrell, Big Rock, TN; sixteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
