Elmer Sexton

Elmer F. Sexton, 82, Murfreesboro, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Anglin Funeral Home with Steve Odom officiating. Burial will be in Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home at Anglin Funeral Home.
A Masonic Service will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home.Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 4, 1928 in Stewart County, TN son of the late Leonard and Robbye Stavely Sexton. Mr. Sexton was a Korean War Veteran, served in the U.S. Army, and retired from the Civil Service at Ft. Campbell. He was a member of Moriah Grove Masonic Lodge #301. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Bragg Sexton, children, Denise Sexton, LaVergne, TN and Dianne (Andy) Ballard, Ft. Worth, TX, brother, Eldridge Sexton, Fairview, TN, Ruth Morrow, Mt. Juliet, TN and grandchild, Mary Nancy Ballard. Pallbearers will be John Wolber, Leonard McGee, Cliff Sexton, Mitchell Earhart, Jerry Cunningham, and Terry Sebring. In lieu of memorials donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or the First Christian Church of Dover.
