Elizabeth "Ishie" (Ralls) Compton, 85 of Dover, TN, left us to meet her family in Heaven on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:30 a.m., at Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Ronnie Burgess officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, March 18th from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 19th from 9-11 a.m., at Anglin Funeral Home. She was born September 20, 1925 in Bardstown, KY, daughter of the late Paul and Annie Hobing Bowers. Mrs. Compton was a homemaker and a Christian. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Tommy Ralls, Sr. and Bernard "Jiggs" Compton. Known by everyone as "Ishie" (a childhood nickname), she lived her life to the fullest. She was the ultimate optimist-always thinking the best of everyone and every situation. She loved flowers, watching the birds on her bird feeders, playing gin rummy, "little" cokes in the bottle, ice cream, and her "little friend" Bandit. She traveled through her life with joy and good humor, leaving everything she touched better than she found it. Her strength of character and positive attitude were an inspiration to all who knew her. She leaves behind five children and their families: daughters, Trina Ralls Williams (Ted) and Nikki Webb, and sons, Tommy Ralls, Jr., Allen Ralls (Terre), and Jeff Ralls (Rhonda). Anglin Funeral Home, (931) 232-5454.
